Connecting Education, Inquiry and Practice across Nottingham and the East Midlands

The Community of Education, Inquiry and Practice (CEIP) is a collaborative network hosted by the School of Education at the University of Nottingham and led by colleagues from local colleges, educational organisations, and the University. The community meets at least three times each year and provides a space for meaningful engagement across educational settings. Through these events and ongoing networking between members, CEIP seeks to identify common interests, create new opportunities for collaboration, and explore ideas that can ultimately benefit children, young people, educators and communities across Nottinghamshire and the wider East Midlands.

Our aspiration is to foster partnerships that lead to:

  • Better shared understanding of important educational issues
  • Inquiry-informed improvement of practice
  • Innovation within and across educational settings
  • Collaborative research and development
  • Stronger connections between educational practitioners and researchers
  • New opportunities for professional learning and knowledge exchange

The direction and activities of CEIP emerge through discussions with members, contributions to CEIP Online, community events, and collaborations initiated by participants themselves.
